Apergy's Harbison-Fischer division delivers a full range of products that optimize the rod-pumping process.
Barrels. Drawing on the application expertise of our rod-pump experts and using state-of-the-art honing machines, CNC lathes and specialized inspection procedures, we produce the finest barrel tubes in the industry. Our barrels adhere to all API dimensions and exceed API quality standards, and are delivered in many lengths and diameters ranging from 1-1/16” to 4-3/4”, with other sizes available as special order. They are also available in various standard and corrosion-resistant metallurgies and coatings. Our barrels have the most consistent hardness, inside diameter and thread size for all sucker-rod pumping applications.
Plungers. Our sucker rod pump plungers are made from medium carbon, high-strength steel and are sprayed with a nickel base coating to provide a hard, long-wearing, corrosion-resistant surface. Harbison-Fischer’s state-of-the-art coating machines bond the nickel coat to the base material while ensuring a consistent thickness and hardness. Our plungers adhere to all API dimensions and exceed API quality standards. They are available in diameter sizes ranging from 1-1/16” to 4-3/4”, with other sizes available as special order. Additional configurations that provide added corrosion and abrasion resistance are also available to meet the production demands in today’s oil and gas wells.
Valve cages. We offer a range of valve cages in various materials and designs to withstand abrasion, corrosion and high pressure. Our one-piece cages are available in high-strength alloys for high-pressure pumping conditions, 303/304 stainless steel for corrosive service, and 316 stainless steel to withstand corrosive pitting environments. We also offer rubber-lined cages for hard pumping conditions, and precision insert-guided cages made from tough, corrosion-resistant Stellite alloys.
Balls and seats. Harbison-Fischer is a pioneering manufacturer of balls and seats for rod-drawn subsurface pumps. Our manufacturing processes exceed API specifications. Specialized machines lap each seat to a precise size and fit, and each ball/seat combination is vacuum tested, shrink wrapped and packed to seal out contaminants and prevent the matched set from being separated. Ball and seats are available in materials including DuMore®, Tungsten, Titanium and Nickel Carbides and Stainless steel to accommodate any pumping environment.
Hold-Down Seal Assemblies. Apergy provides Harbison-Fischer Hold-Down Seal Assemblies for every pump and pumping condition.
The Cup Type seal assembly is popular for its ease of seating and unseating as well as its API standardization. Three cups provide the initial holding force and seal the fluid above the pump from the formation fluid.
The Type "O" seal assembly has the largest through-hole of all seal assemblies and is used in pumps that require greater clearance for a valve rod, pull tube or viscous fluids.
Mechanical seal assemblies are used for high temperature applications or installations that require a greater initial hold-down force. The hold-down seal ring is available in brass, hardened stainless steel and Monel.
All seal assemblies are available in alloy steel, stainless steel (303/304 or 316), brass or Monel, and in bottom and top hold-down configurations.
